ABOUT ME

I am an entrepreneur.

I am the co-founder and co-owner of Sugar Hill Creamery, Harlem’s first family-owned handmade ice cream shop, which opened its doors in 2017 and grew to three locations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I am the founder of askpetrushka, a coaching practice for people looking to make career changes, start businesses, or start families in New York City.

I am the founder of SHMOMS, an online membership community dedicated to mothers in transition, whether that is into motherhood, out of traditional work, or to life in New York City.

 
 
 

I am an arts advocate and educator deeply invested in place making, community-building and the health of neighborhoods across New York City.

Prior to opening Sugar Hill Creamery with her husband, I worked as Vice President for Programs & Education at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum and Program Director at the Laundromat Project, a non-profit organization committed to building resilient neighborhoods using art, art making, and culture as platforms for meaningful exchanges between New York residents. In my spare time, I AM Adjunct Lecturer at in Art Education at City University of New York - City College and serve Harlem-based non-profit Harlem4Kids as a Board Member.
